Harford Senior Housing History
Harford Senior Housing first opened to residents in 1982. The facility was originally sponsored by various
churches and organizations of Harford County (Maryland) to provide housing for low income elderly. The
building was financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Harford Senior Housing, a three-story elevator building, consists of one hundred fifty four (154) apartment units
(6 efficiency and 148 one-bedroom).
Apartment and building features include individually controlled heating and air-conditioning units, wall to wall
carpeting, kitchens’ equipped with an electric stove and refrigerator, coin-operated laundry facilities, social
rooms, emergency alarms, smoke detectors, community patio and parking area.
